91Life has appointed Dr. Andrea Natale, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.H.R.S., F.E.S.C., Executive Medical Director of the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute at St. David’s Medical Center, as its Chief of the Medical Advisory and Research Board.Dr. Natale will lead 91Life’s AI-driven research efforts in electrophysiology, including the automation and advancement of remote monitoring of cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) such as pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, and loop recorders.

Dr. Natale, a renowned figure in electrophysiology, has joined TCAI as their Chief Medical and Research Advisor. He has authored over 600 publications related to arrhythmia treatments. Before joining TCAI, Dr. Natale was a member of the Cardiovascular Medicine Department at the Cleveland Clinic from 1999 to 2007, where he served as Section Head for the Department of Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology and as Medical Director for the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Atrial Fibrillation. In 2006, Dr. Natale was appointed to the Food and Drug Administration’s Task Force on Atrial Fibrillation.

As a faculty member at renowned universities like Dell Medical School, Duke, and Stanford, he has been an invited speaker at hundreds of symposia and conferences worldwide. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles on pacing and electrophysiology in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and served on the editorial boards of several major medical publications. He was appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology (JICE) in 2018 and led the Journal of Atrial Fibrillation as editor-in-chief until 2018.
